Definitely Not Pancakes
While I’m certain I made up “Rub Nubbins” on my own, I’m pretty sure it’s one of those phrases that people come up with on their own all the time. Phrases like this include “do unto otters” and “sheeple”. In fact, a colleague of mine showed me where he wrote a bit of dialogue with something very similar. It did not involve pancakes either.
A quick note here, the little girl’s name is not Liebste. “Liebste” is a Swiss nickname frequently given to children that means “favorite”.
