Well of course this was the big one. I had gotten a ride from a friend whose son Whealon was going to be helping me that day. After a few misunderstandings we arrived at the convention center at 9:30. Which was just in time as the convention opened a half hour early. So it was off to work before we even had a chance to settle in.

So the day was long and I passed out lots of promotional material i didn’t really do very well on sales. In fact my books might just as well have been props the way people paid attention to them. Slightly demoralizing.

Despite this It was an enjoyable day thanks to Whealon’s support at the table I was able to get out and explore for a little while meet several of the artists I admire and get in some people watching in.

There were tons of different costumes (I made a list of all of the ones who passed by me over the weekend which I’ll share once I process the data) The one that sticks out for me despite everyone’s ingenuity was an extremely petite woman whose costume consisted of a hip wrap and… makeup.

Anyway one more day to go and I’m sure it won’t be boring.
