I’m a growing fan of Google Sketchup. Both as a source of references and sets for backgrounds. It’s much easier to use than several of the 3D programs I’ve used in the past and as I’ve gotten better at using it I’ve started making background sets for some of the prime locations in the strip. Last month I completed a new version of Lysistrata. Yesterday I just finished the Circle Band’s practice Loft.

Just thought I’d share something new I spent the afternoon on.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with Google Sketchup. It’s easy to use with a very short learning curve so comes in very handy for creating background sets and references. Having found some limitations to some of the stock art I’d been using for some of the main sets in the strip I finally got around to starting to construct some of them. Here’s Lysistrata. See what you all think.
