When I first moved to Seattle, the biggest bit of culture shock was just how spread out everything was. The concept of addresses in the thousands was alien to me, let alone that they would have to be broken down in sections like north and northeast. I always have to clarify this when I’m giving family from out of town directions.
Since Bert is also from out of town it made sense for him to make this mistake rather than Hilda and Blossom have trouble with his atrocious handwriting.
