The last time we saw Nancy and Michelle, Michelle was asking Nancy to give her a tour of the newly renovated third floor. Nancy and Michelle have the pessimist vs realist argument about as frequently as you would expect.
With Hilda away for… reasons, her mother is stepping up her duty as a good hostess. Other than the car she’s driving Kate around Kate in, that is.
Michelle is one of the only people who would call Nancy an “old fuddy-duddy” and live. (Amy could probably get away with it too.) She means it as a term of endearment.
