Fedya is not obsessing about Gabriella at all, and she is not taking up any space in his head at all.
Since the “woodchuck” is sneaking around the venue as we speak, Kevin is not completely wrong. Having said that, maybe he shouldn’t go on about it in too much detail. he’s creeping Nikki out!
The Circle Band has had enough weird gigs that they go out of their way to keep things from being their problem. Fortunately, the Department of Minor Nuisances has contingency plans for these things.

In Fedya’s defense, Gabriella isn’t looking where she’s going either. Fedya’s probably been rationing his cigarettes as best he can since the squirrel found his emergency stash. Which might explain why he’s so distracted.
Fedya’s smoking has set off fire alarms and sprinklers before. Even though Gabriella doesn’t know that, she probably made the right choice.
Gabriella doesn’t want any favors, especially from someone she says she can’t stand. However, she may have unknowingly worn Fedya down enough that he might actually want to be her hero.
