Along with being her employee, Erika is a bit lower in the family pecking order than Kate is. Honestly even trying to argue is kind of pointless here.

It looks like Kate hasn’t told Stefan that much about her family. So No, you’re not alone thinking I just made him up. Heck, I hinted Kate had siblings way back.
And so after all of her plans to get out of Kris’s publicity stunt, Kate and Stefan arrive at Kate’s brother’s in St. Paul Minnesota.
While Kate’s ranted about Brian enough for there to be a chance of mistaken identity, I’m pretty sure Anton’s just messing with her.
