This is the first speaking role of Kate’s cousin, Little Karl. He’s been talked about by others and has been in the background looking big. I look forward to finding out what kind of person he is.
Kate frequently has trouble getting anybody to take her side, or feel sorry for her, regarding her “Literary career” this is especially frustrating when these people include her family
