This is not the first time someone has pointed out that Brian being transparent is almost as bad as him hiding something on purpose.

There’s more than one meaning to the phrase “let go”. Especially to the people who work for you. Rowan should remember her sense of humor can be lost on people.
Anything resembling a date probably didn’t even occur to Brian when he suggested the dinner meeting. Laurel’s being cautious because, one, it’s Brian, and two it has been suggested that he has a type.
