The real reason that Shilo ended his paternity early was that the reserves didn’t need him.

We last saw Shilo’s in-laws in the  2021 Thanksgiving storyline. It was implied they’d visit to help out once Danaa and Shilo moved into the new house. Nothing has been said about whether this would be a permanent arrangement.
