If it’s not obvious, this is the Drosselbeyer from The Nutcracker. In the original Hoffman story, he doesn’t have a first name. I named him Alberich so I could have two legendary craftsmen in one.

The “happy fun balls” Hilda and Peaseblossom are talking about are from a parody commercial from Saturday Night Live. It seems that they’re harder to get rid of than anyone thought.
