Hilda’s off on her break, but at least she took care of some last-minute issues for Kate before she left. With any luck, nothing will fall apart before she comes back.

Jo is Kate’s sister-in-law. While I’m sure she will be more than happy to help, since she and Kate don’t get along very well, she’s bound to be snarky about it.
