One of the fun things about writing Hilda is the way she goes back and forth between being a shy and proper creampuff to being an unstoppable force. Ten o’clock curfew is going to be the least of Kate’s problems.

It doesn’t come up very often but Kate’s apartment is right across the street from Maplelake Park, making Hilda’s promise realistic and practical.
