Once again, I feel as if I’ve done Janet wrong. She really is very intelligent. She wouldn’t be Kate’s friend and accountant if she wasn’t. But her infatuation with Brian gets the better of her every single time.

Understandably, she can get quite defensive about this when she’s out of his fear of influence, even when she knows that her friends mean well. However, the instant Brian comes within range, she proves that they were right once again.
