Rhapsodies

In my first draft, I had the idea of Laurel gradually getting plastered as the night went on.

I then realized that that wouldn’t work since she’s technically working. Even if “the job” is self imposed consisting of keeping an eye on Brian, she still has to stay sharp.

She probably doesn’t even have the luxury of having several afterwards since she’ll have to spend an hour writing down her impressions.
