The Rescue

As you know from earlier Kate really isn’t rescuing Fran and Olive from anything (and even if the Hide Behind was real, it’s visiting its parents in Arizona) but there’s a lot to be said for the placebo effect.

Hilda’s Scary Stare

It looks like Hilda is still taking her self-appointed duty as Kate’s minder seriously… and Kate can’t get anything by her as that scary stare shows.
If it’s not clear, Nancy is joking by comparing ice cream to drugs… It’s probably not that funny but Paul’s gotten good enough at picking up all of the relevant cues and make a show of being amused.
Moving Mountains

I don’t think Tara’s quite as smart as Brian, but since she’s not quite as eccentric either, she’s more focused. This makes moving the occasional mountains a little bit easier.
