Certainly, Nikki is more than capable of going from Nancy and Michelle’s house to the band loft and back on her own, but Paul and Nancy want to keep an eye on her for as long as they can. Since Nikki takes pride in her ability to get into trouble, driving her to the loft is a better solution. Paul’s not-so-funny joke about prisoner transport is not completely unfair.
