I love how doing a little bit of research will take you in a completely different direction where you planned, in this case, where I got the name for the Double Luck club. I wanted to use the same Chinese symbol that Goku wears on his gi in Dragon Ball Z. It required me to search for the symbol. In finding it, I found out it was shu?ngx? meaning double happiness and longevity, or perhaps, luck.

Immediately I knew it was the perfect name for the club, which I had intended to leave nameless.  Especially since it’s supposed to be the Celestial equivalent of Hooters. I thought this would provide some useful innuendo because luck would not be the only thing that was double there. But who knows? Maybe the Martinis are just as good as the club’s… other things.

The waitresses are Jiangshi. Admittedly, blatantly objectified Jiang Shi, but compared to a lot of Anime, relatively tame. They must be advanced ones. Otherwise, they’d be spilling the drinks with their hopping.
