I don’t think I’ve specifically said that Fran is an anime fan. However since she generally favors Gothic Lolita fashion in her free time, it makes sense.

As an anime fan myself, I don’t want to assume we all mistake real-life Japan with what we see in cartoons. But to provide an example from a completely different city, I remember panicking as a teenager when I got off one subway stop early on the way to the Bronx Zoo.  I’m just saying It’s easy to base our original views on what we see in the media before we do any research.

Fran’s never been one to do much research.

Olive is specifically referring to Tokyo Ghoul. “Truck-Kun” Is the generic name given to all of the trucks that kills the protagonist in nearly every isekai anime.
