It is a soapstone bowl made before 1800. from the shore of Shoal Harbor, North Saanich, Vancouver Island, and portrays a humanoid figure sitting and cradling a bowl in its lap. What interested me about it when I first saw it was just how mesoamerican it looked and had me thinking about patterns of human migration as I drew it.
