Hi everybody, whether you spend it just chilling out or out celebrating with friends, I hope you all have a great Fourth of July. Personally, I don’t have much planned beyond the fireworks. And frankly, and feel free to call me a paranoid sheep, I’m not quite ready to watch it in a standing-room-only crowd. But that’s okay since there are plenty of spots across the lake to watch it at a distance.

On the subject of fireworks, one of my pet peeves is the music they play to accompany them. If there’s any place to have the most over-the-top, jingoistic, patriotic music, it’s fireworks on the Fourth of July. So it annoys me when they just play popular rock songs.

In my opinion, the only music one should ever start a fireworks display to is Aaron Copeland.
