Rhapsodies

Well the Halloween season is on us again and so it’s time for another Halloween sketch challenge and to keep things interesting I decided to participate in Inktober! I figure it should be good practice as I’m not particularly good at inking freehand so it should be good practice.

For the first drawing, I really don’t know why I put Thunderbird on the list. It”s not really a monster at least not in the scary halloween way, I think I was going for the cryptid version but for some reason drawing what would look like a large pterosaur didn’t seem right and drawing Rodan instead would be just breaking the rules.

I finally went mythic basing it on one of the ceremonial masks at the Seattle Art Museum

I guess it’s a good start, thought I don’t think the shadow effect worked quite as well as I intended.
