Kate has been a small business owner for a long time. Because of this she generally regards things like an expansion of the store as a fond pipe dream. Being able to afford these things comes as a surprise.
Admittedly, Kate has been using the profits of her writing to subsidize Lysistrata for a while. Having this much money to throw at it takes a while to get used to.

Suma is quickly becoming Lisa’s number two by being helpful, with lots of useful suggestions. Admittedly Blossom also had suggestions. This is why she’s not at this informal meeting.
