I’m starting to do some watercolor portraits of the cast in no particular order. So here’s the first batch starting with Paul carrying his saxophone case, Suma carrying some books, and Brian… being Brian.
I’m pleased with how these turned out. Though I think Paul came out looking more realistic than I expected, in an uncanny valley sort of way.

Hi everybody, let’s celebrate Mr. Louis Armstrong’s one hundred and twenty-first birthday by listening to his version of Frankie and Johnny.
I’ve heard tons of versions of this old classic, but I really like the honky tonk quality of this arrangement. If I have any problem with it, it’s that even though it showcases Mr. Armstrong’s singing and overwhelming personality, there’s no trumpet.
