A very happy birthday to two of my favorite historical figures, Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln. (I suspect we stopped celebrating Lincoln’s birthday and merging his and Washington’s birthday together was the bible thumpers realized we were celebrating Darwin’s birthday as well.)
I’m adding more and more swag to the Rhapsodies Redbubble page. The latest one I’ve posted is a Star Trek the Original Series mashup. Nancy, Dielle, and Michelle are cosplaying as Spock, McKoy, and Kirk from Star Trek. Nancy and Dielle are nonplussed because Michelle is mixing up the catchphrases from different series.
The Night Watch arrives in Whitetree, a tiny village dominated by the eponymous Weyrwood. The hardest part of this drawing was trying to purge my memory of Mel Rubi’s image and do my own. Having said that, for all my complaints about Mr. Martin’s descriptions, this is one of the times where he provides plenty of descriptions. There really aren’t many ways to do it.
“An old tree.” Mormont sat his horse, frowning. “Old,” his raven agreed from his shoulder. “Old, old, old.” “And powerful.” Jon could feel the power.
I’ve just set up a new store for Rhapsodies on Redbubble. The first item in it is Paul, Gage, Shilo, and Fedya dressed as the Ghostbusters! Check it out now!
Just a quick reminder everybody, my Patreon account is up and running for everyone to enjoy. For the bare minimum price of two dollars a month you get to see all strips and posts a week early. For five dollars you get to see art that is exclusively on Patreon, including concept art, Sunday strips, illustrations, and unique side projects such as my ongoing Mermaids of Herschel Cove! For ten dollars you can have a cameo in a comic strip every three months on average, depending on the story and the queue, as well as sketch commissions (and some pending items I’m still thinking about)
