“What do we do now, Olive?” Fran asked. Everything had gone well at the barbecue the day before, but with all family drama going on with the Fitzpatricks, Olive thought it would be a good idea to get to work early. Even though they’d been complimented and thanked for their work, they didn’t want anyone to think it was a fluke.

” Of course I do, Fran,” Olive replied. “I’ve got all of the places me and Ms. Nyx need to look at scheduled today! We got to have everything ready.”

Francine stared at her friend. “I thought that was your job, Olive,” she said finally.

Olive sighed. “Of course, that’s what my job is, Fran. But it’s our job to do all of the preparations before all that, so everything goes smoothly!

“Sorry, Olive, I forgot,” Francine said sheepishly. She wasn’t sure if she remembered anyone telling her that. It was great having Olive around to remember things the right way.

Fran went over to her desk, where several piles of folders were resting. She picked one up and carried it to the table. “Do you think we need all of these?” she asked.

“Of course we want all of them, Francine, it is called being prepared.”

Francine put the next pile of folders on the table. “I was just wondering just how many of these places you were looking at today and…”

“That’s not the point, Francine,” Olive interrupted.  “The point is to have as much information as possible and whoops! The third pile of folders fell over, pushing the other two onto the floor.

Fran started picking them up. “Sorry, Olive, she whispered.

Olive rolled her eyes. “Just pick them up and try to get them in order before…” She was interrupted by the sound of the office door opening. Laurel and Rowan walked into the office talking, barely noticing Fran and Olive were there. Fran glanced at Olive.

Olive grinned sheepishly.  “Ma’am, it’s not what it looks like.” She said.

On a quick side note, it looks as if having Fedya as a source of one night stands after a stressful day is something Rowan finds useful.
