Brian really does believe that if you’re serious about anything you put your mind to, you will succeed. The problem is that he rarely bothers to notice the difference between the trivial and the important. Perhaps it’s because he’s never had to bother putting his full effort into things that he treats everything equally.
Too bad he still hasn’t bothered explaining this to Olive.
