Rhapsodies

I had way too much fun mixing the term “Tiger Lady” with the phrase “Catch a Tiger by the Toe”. (Though if we want to be technical, I believe Nancy would have to have children to be a proper “Tiger Lady“… Those poor kids.)

On a side note about the Eeny Meeny, Miny, Moe Rhyme. I was raised with it being “tiger”. So, I was surprised when I found out about the racist versions. (It was even more depressing because the first time I encountered one of the bad versions was in Mary Poppins)Since then, I’ve never been sure if the “tiger” version is just the modern sanitized version or if it ran parallel with the others. I hope it did. I’m already too cynical about my society.
