Olive fidgeted in her seat. She still felt a little shocked about how quickly the day was going. She had expected to mostly spend the day filing barring any last-minute surprises. But she hadn’t expected any surprises like this. No one had them had told them about the trip! Ms. Nyx had herded them into a taxi, with no explanation. The drive to the airport felt like a mad rush to her.

Olive quickly decided there was no point in asking questions and just following Ms. Nyx. She didn’t even bother checking in and waltzed through security as if it wasn’t there. Any questions she and Fran had, be it what they were doing, and why they shouldn’t worry about things like packing for a trip, were met by a half-smile.

They were in their seats in no time with Olive squeezed uncomfortably into the center seat. Fran and Ms. Nyx already claimed both armrests. Ms. Nyx turned to look at her, studying her with that mysterious half-smile that Olive more nervous every time she used it on her. “You okay, Olive?” She asked.
