For all of the things that Tara and the others are doing in the background, we have to remember that in reality, this week’s story is all about Liam. This is his first campaign for office and he’s new to politics. It will be a while before he learns that, to a very real degree, it’s all about shaking hands.
For now, he’s letting it get to him more than he’d like. He’s getting distracted by the small stuff. Such as the oldest sibling’s classic worry that his brothers and sisters might be up to something behind his back. (The fact that they are does not help things.)
We haven’t seen family patriarch, Frank Fitzpatrick, since the 2016 Thanksgiving story. I hope to see him more frequently from here on.
