Nancy doesn’t stay over at Paul’s place that much, but she likes to have it as an option… Especially when she has had a bad day and wants to avoid her two cheerful housemates trying to cheer her up and get her to look at the bright side.

Also, Michelle hasn’t calmed down since the recording studio was completed. This means Nancy probably would have made herself scarce even if she had a good day.
