Olive looked down at her tea, trying to figure out what was going on. After Fran and the girl, Mimi-Chan had been chatting aimlessly about boutiques, anime, and idol singers ever since Fran had complimented her dress. It was just like Fran to ignore the obvious problem in front of her.

Once again, I’m the one who has to be professional, Olive thought to herself.

But Mimi-Chan didn’t seem to mind Fran’s chatter, and Olive certainly didn’t want to interrupt her just in case her bodyguards came back. At least there was cake, but Olive had lost her appetite.

After what felt like an hour, Mime-Chan seemed to notice her discomfort. For a second, she looked serious, dropping the doll-like façade revealing the woman underneath. She stared at Olive.

We’re dead, we’re dead, we’re dead, Olive thought as she tried not to panic.

Mimi-Chan continued to study Olive as she took another long sip of her tea. She put her cup down, and her wide, friendly smile returned. “So, you’re the ones, Brian-Kun sent to see me?” She asked.
