Peaseblossom watched Kevin climb up to the tower’s penthouse. “Climb” really wasn’t the right word for it but it sure sounded better than. “Dragged a kickin’ and screaming, while being pulled at a speed of fifty-five meters a minute… He do have a good grip, don’t he?” She said conversationally to Bert.

Bert looked up at the gradually shrinking Kevin and looked back at Peaseblossom.

“Oh be nice, management did not choose him because he be expendable,” Peaseblossom said.

Bert gave her a puzzled look.

No, they didn’t an’ no they didn’t tell me why… apparently, he ain’t been expendable for a while now.  This just be the first time they bothered to tell us anything. Something about him not waking up.”

Bert looked surprised, stared up at Kevin who was now halfway up the tower and back at Peaseblossom giving her a confused look.

“I said I didn’t understand it. But it means he gets the dream without a screwing up… An’ we have to make sure he gets out a there with it in one piece. Ye know what that means yeah?

Bert started at her blinking.

Peaseblossom sighed. “It means ye got to go get our ride. If ye can’t get the shark, get somethin’ cheap an’ fast. We got to get him out of there as quick as possible. Who knows what could happen to him up there.”

Bert raised his paw.

“Yeah, yeah, I know if half a what I heard about the White Rabbit be true then he be in big trouble, but that only be the half a it. Ye know anythin’ about the artist what paints the dreams?”

Bett shrugged.

They say she be a charmin’ an’ lovin’ an’ bound to get her hooks into him wit’ no trouble at all!” Peaseblossom took a long breath. “An’ that be what I should be a doin’!”
