Hearing Hilda recite Kate’s schedule in front of her makes Erika realize Kate wasn’t kidding about it. It doesn’t mean that she’s going to volunteer to help if she doesn’t have to.
Also, it’s very nice of Hilda to keep Kate’s sense of humor in check.
