Just a quick reminder everybody, my Patreon account is up and running for everyone to enjoy. For the bare minimum price of two dollars a month you get to see all strips and posts a week early. For five dollars you get to see art that is exclusively on Patreon, including concept art, Sunday strips, illustrations, and unique side projects such as my ongoing Mermaids of Herschel Cove! For ten dollars you can have a cameo in a comic strip every three months on average, depending on the story and the queue, as well as sketch commissions (and some pending items I’m still thinking about)

First of Many Watercolor Sketches

My reason for me to do this year’s Mermay challenge got canceled due to COVID19. Still, I did complete it and my watercolor muscles are in peak condition. Now the trick is, is to keep at it so I don’t lose my edge again.

For now I’m starting to do color sketches and concept designs starting with this picture of Hilda and Blossom arguing in a scene that will occur sometime in June.

This is done on some really cheap paper, I’ve been trying to use up, that is virtually waterproof and difficult to layer on. Despite this I think it came out pretty well.
