My reason for me to do this year’s Mermay challenge got canceled due to COVID19. Still, I did complete it and my watercolor muscles are in peak condition. Now the trick is, is to keep at it so I don’t lose my edge again.
For now I’m starting to do color sketches and concept designs starting with this picture of Hilda and Blossom arguing in a scene that will occur sometime in June.
This is done on some really cheap paper, I’ve been trying to use up, that is virtually waterproof and difficult to layer on. Despite this I think it came out pretty well.
