Nancy waved goodbye to Paul and watched him drive off. Frankly, she would have liked to have him stay that night. She felt tired and needy. But Michelle would probably want to tell her everything about the trip first. And there were some things that should remain private. (It was hard enough trying to figure out how to get rid of Amy for the night.

She turned to see Michelle grinning at her. “So,” she asked. “How did everything go?”

Nancy shrugged. “It went okay. The contractors finished on time. So, we can start talking about our next step.”

“That’s great.” Michelle’s said smiling even more. “I can’t wait to see it! I can’t wait to hear about everything!”

Nancy shrugged. “Well, I’m happy to…”

“That can wait!” Michelle interrupted. I need to put my stuff away and get my shoes off! How’s my special girl?

“Mitzi’s fine.” Nancy sighed. “The house is still intact after all.”
