Apparently, The Fairies of Flower Glen has a periphery demographic similar to the one My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic does in the real world. It leads to some unfortunate ribbing.
Parents like Shilo are envied for having an excuse to watch it. (Even though he’s mostly doing it because he’s still smarting from Bonnie thinking he’s embarrassing.)
