So following Shilo’s instructions Paul has called Nancy. Let’s switch over to Nancy’s point of view. Considering the nature of Paul and Nancy’s relationship, it’s no surprise that Nancy’s surprised that Paul is paying.

Nancy not telling Paul when she’s back from a business trip, most recently here, is a frequent point contention for them. Nancy will point out that since “they don’t actually have a relationship”, there’s no point making a fuss. Paul is more than happy with that excuse, but still…

We haven’t seen Rachel, Nancy’s coworker and sometime lackey, for a while… Nancy hasn’t scared her off yet.
